medicine – like every other industry ! — is held back by lazy, backwards, arrogant human fuckwads, not a lack of smart watches.
Retweeted by Matteo ManferdiniCall me old fashioned, but I prefer watches that give me the time. I don't need one more thing that buzzes. http://t.co/KLoXyZRiJH
Retweeted by Matteo ManferdiniI was curious to see if Apple could make a smart watch that looked good. In my opinion, they didn't manage.@icex33 @iosdevuk That definitely sounds like a nightmare.@sla_shalafi I'm sure many designers would disagree with you :p@sla_shalafi At least that I hope won't happen. At the moment I have to support only iOS 7 and 8, which are practically the same.@icex33 It was just a joke, but good point. ;)@matmanferdini come on, we are not even close (http://t.co/seWWchWAJ7)
Retweeted by Matteo Manferdini@sla_shalafi Yes, that's the only interesting thing. Still, I would never wear anything like that.I stand corrected. The aspect ratio of the screen seems to be the same, luckily.@sla_shalafi Actually, it is.At least we have Auto Layout.@sla_shalafi Also, the watch is ugly as fuck. With iPhone 4, 5, and 6, we now have four display sizes to support. Welcome to the world of Android programming.@sla_shalafi I still think these sizes are bad. The fact that Apple made iPhones that way, does not change the fact.

What Apple actually did is make it harder to enter the field for some time. Learn two programming languages instead of one is not easy.Without considering that all the APIs are still in Objective-CThere is a lot of experience that goes into the platform. Switching the language does not make that go away. Many people think that Swift puts everybody back to "square one". It doesn't. I can pick up Swift iOS dev in one week, a beginner can't.@sla_shalafi @pauldarcey Unfortunately it's full of dumb advice out there.Advice I see a lot online: Q: "How do I learn iOS development from scratch?" A: "Learn HTML, CSS and Javascript first" 😧
